Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 5 June 2026

These terms are written in plain English because we think you deserve to actually understand what you're agreeing to. No legal jargon for the sake of it.

1. What Glasgow Tickets Does

Glasgow Tickets is an online platform that connects event promoters with ticket buyers. We provide the technology to list events, sell tickets, generate PDF tickets with QR codes, and process payments. We act as an intermediary — the contract for attending the event is between you and the promoter.

2. Buying Tickets

  • When you purchase a ticket, you'll receive a confirmation email with your PDF ticket(s) attached. Each ticket has a unique QR code for entry.
  • You can purchase as a guest (no account required) or while logged in.
  • A small booking fee is added to each order. This is clearly shown before you pay — no surprises at checkout.
  • Prices are in British Pounds (£) and include any applicable VAT.
  • Once your order is confirmed, your tickets are non-transferable unless the promoter states otherwise.

3. Payments

All payments are processed by Stripe. We accept major debit and credit cards. Your payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and never stored on our servers. For free events, no payment is required and no card details are collected.

4. Refunds

  • Event cancellation: If an event is cancelled by the promoter, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price. Booking fees are non-refundable.
  • Change of plans: Refund policies for individual events are set by the promoter. Contact the promoter directly in the first instance.
  • Our role: We can process refunds on behalf of promoters when authorised. Refunds are returned to the original payment method and typically take 5–10 business days to appear.
  • Booking fees: Booking fees are non-refundable in all circumstances. This applies to event cancellations, voluntary cancellations, and all other refund scenarios. The booking fee covers the cost of processing your order, generating your tickets, and providing the platform service.

5. Entry to Events

  • Present the QR code on your ticket (printed or on your phone) at the venue for scanning.
  • Each QR code can only be scanned once — duplicated tickets will be rejected after the first scan.
  • The promoter and venue reserve the right to refuse entry. Glasgow Tickets is not responsible for decisions made at the door.

6. Discount Codes

Promoters may offer discount codes for their events. These are subject to the promoter's own terms (e.g., expiry dates, usage limits). Discount codes cannot be combined unless the promoter explicitly allows it.

7. Your Account

If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your password secure. If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password immediately and contact us. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

8. Our Liability

  • We provide a ticketing platform. We are not the event organiser and are not liable for the event itself, including cancellations, changes, or the quality of the event experience.
  • We do our best to keep the platform running smoothly, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. We're not liable for losses caused by temporary outages.
  • Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your ticket(s).

9. Acceptable Use

Don't use Glasgow Tickets to:

  • Resell tickets at inflated prices (touting).
  • Create events for fraudulent purposes.
  • Attempt to access other users' accounts or data.
  • Interfere with the platform's operation.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the platform after changes means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
