Purchase Policy
Publication date: 10 April 2026
1. Introduction
1.1 Glasgow Tickets (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates an online ticketing platform where you can purchase tickets for events listed by event promoters, organisers, venues and other persons involved in the organisation of events (“Event Partners”).
1.2 This Purchase Policy sets out the terms and conditions that apply to all ticket purchases made through our platform at glasgowtickets.com. By making a purchase, you agree to be bound by this policy.
1.3 We sell tickets on behalf of Event Partners. We are not responsible for organising or delivering the events themselves. The contract for attending the event is between you and the relevant Event Partner.
1.4 This Purchase Policy should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
1.5 Nothing in this Purchase Policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer. For further information about your statutory rights, please contact Citizens Advice.
2. Your Account & Registration
2.1 Some events allow guest checkout — you can purchase tickets by providing your name and email address without creating an account.
2.2 Where an Event Partner requires account registration, you must create an account with a valid email address in order to complete your purchase.
2.3 You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not permit anyone else to use your account or share your login details.
2.4 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and/or cancel any orders if:
- abusive or threatening behaviour is carried out by you or on your behalf;
- we suspect fraudulent activity or other illegal activity on your account;
- we are ordered to do so by a legal or regulatory authority; or
- you breach the terms of this Purchase Policy or our Terms & Conditions.
3. Legally Binding Contract
3.1 By purchasing one or more tickets from us, you enter into a legally binding contract subject to this Purchase Policy, any event-specific terms stated by the Event Partner, and any venue terms and conditions.
3.2 Your contract begins when we confirm your order (via your order confirmation page and/or confirmation email) and ends immediately after completion of the event.
3.3 We reserve the right to update this Purchase Policy from time to time. All purchases are subject to the version published at the time of purchase.
4. Prices, Fees & Payment
4.1 All prices are displayed in British Pounds (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. The total price you pay is broken down as follows:
- Ticket price — the face value of the ticket, set by the Event Partner;
- Booking fee — a per-order service charge that covers payment processing, ticket generation, and the running of the platform.
4.2 The booking fee is clearly displayed before you complete your purchase. Some Event Partners choose to absorb the booking fee, in which case no separate fee will be shown.
4.3 Booking fees are non-refundable. The booking fee covers costs that are incurred at the time of purchase (including payment processing, ticket generation, and platform services) and cannot be recovered. This applies regardless of whether your ticket purchase is subsequently refunded for any reason, including event cancellation, rescheduling, or voluntary refund by the Event Partner.
4.4 Ticket prices are set by Event Partners. We have no control over ticket pricing and accept no responsibility for price changes made by Event Partners after your purchase.
4.5 All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept major debit and credit cards. Your payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
4.6 For free events, no payment is required and no booking fee is charged.
4.7 If we discover an error in the price of any ticket you have ordered, we will inform you and give you the option of confirming your order at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.
5. Ticket Delivery
5.1 All tickets are delivered electronically. Following a successful purchase, you will receive:
- A confirmation email with your PDF ticket(s) attached, each containing a unique QR code;
- Access to your order page where you can download individual tickets and (where available) add them to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.
5.2 Tickets are sent to the email address you provide at checkout. It is your responsibility to ensure this email address is correct and that your mailbox can receive our emails. Please check your spam or junk folder if you do not receive your confirmation promptly.
5.3 If you have a Glasgow Tickets account, your order and tickets are also accessible from the My Orders section at any time.
5.4 We shall not be liable for delivery failures caused by an incorrect email address, full mailbox, spam filtering or any other factor outside our control.
5.5 It is your responsibility to check your tickets immediately upon receipt. Please contact us promptly if there is an error.
6. Your Tickets — Rights & Obligations
6.1 Each ticket contains a unique QR code. This is your proof of purchase and your means of entry to the event. Each QR code can only be scanned once for entry.
6.2 Please keep your tickets safe and do not share your QR code publicly (e.g. on social media). We will not be responsible for tickets that are copied, screenshotted, or otherwise compromised as a result of your sharing them.
6.3 In most cases, you may forward your PDF ticket to another person to attend on your behalf. Some Event Partners may restrict this — check the event listing for any specific entry requirements (e.g. ID matching the ticket holder).
6.4 We strongly recommend saving your PDF ticket to your phone or printing it before the event, in case you do not have mobile signal at the venue.
7. Ticket Restrictions
7.1 Tickets may be subject to a maximum quantity per order, as set by the Event Partner. This limit is displayed during the purchase process.
7.2 You are not permitted to purchase tickets for the purpose of reselling them commercially for profit, unless you have the express written permission of the Event Partner.
7.3 Tickets may not be used for advertising, promotions, contests or sweepstakes, or combined with any other product or service to create a package for commercial sale, without the express written permission of the Event Partner.
7.4 We reserve the right to cancel any orders that we reasonably suspect to have been made in breach of this policy, without notice.
8. Event Timings & Admission
8.1 Advertised event start times, door times, and end times are subject to change at the Event Partner’s discretion. We are not responsible for any changes to event timings.
8.2 Admission to all events is subject to the terms and conditions of the venue and the Event Partner. You may be subject to security searches, age verification, or other entry requirements.
8.3 The Event Partner and/or venue reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any person for reasons of public safety, unacceptable behaviour, breach of venue rules, or failure to meet any entry requirements (e.g. minimum age). You will not be entitled to a refund in such circumstances.
8.4 By attending an event, you acknowledge that you may be photographed, filmed or recorded for safety, security or promotional purposes.
9. Event Cancellations, Rescheduling & Alterations
9.1 If an event is cancelled, rescheduled or materially altered, we will use reasonable efforts to notify you using the contact details you provided at checkout. However, we cannot guarantee that you will be informed before the event date. It is your responsibility to check whether an event has been changed.
9.2 Cancellation: If an event is cancelled in full (and not rescheduled), your order will be cancelled and you will be refunded the ticket price. Booking fees are non-refundable.
9.3 Rescheduling: If an event is rescheduled, your tickets will usually be valid for the new date. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled event, contact the Event Partner to discuss a refund of the ticket price. Booking fees are non-refundable.
9.4 Material alteration: If an event is materially altered (for example, a significant change to the line-up, venue or format), your tickets will usually remain valid. If you do not wish to attend the altered event, contact the Event Partner to request a refund of the ticket price. Booking fees are non-refundable.
9.5 For the avoidance of doubt, the following are not considered material alterations: the use of understudies in theatre performances; changes to any supporting act; weather conditions; changes to the line-up of a multi-performer event (e.g. a festival); or minor changes to the programme or running order.
10. Refunds
10.1 Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase, except in the circumstances set out in clause 9.
10.2 Refund policies for individual events are set by the Event Partner. If you wish to request a refund, contact the Event Partner directly in the first instance. Their details are available on the event listing page.
10.3 Booking fees are non-refundable in all circumstances. The booking fee covers payment processing, ticket generation, and platform services — costs that are incurred at the point of purchase and cannot be recovered. This applies to:
- Event cancellations;
- Event rescheduling;
- Material alterations to an event;
- Voluntary refunds agreed by the Event Partner;
- Any other refund scenario.
10.4 Where a refund is due, we will process it to the original payment method. Refunds typically take 5–10 working days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or card provider.
10.5 If you have not heard from the Event Partner regarding a refund for a cancelled event within 14 days of the cancellation, you may contact us at hello@glasgowtickets.com and we will follow up on your behalf.
11. Limitation of Liability
11.1 We act as a ticketing platform and intermediary. We are not responsible for organising, producing or delivering events. The Event Partner is solely responsible for the event and its content.
11.2 To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:
- any loss, injury or damage arising from your attendance at an event;
- any indirect, consequential or incidental losses, including loss of enjoyment, travel or accommodation costs;
- any failure by an Event Partner to deliver the event as advertised;
- any loss arising from your failure to provide correct contact or delivery information; or
- any loss arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), including acts of God, war, civil unrest, fire, flood, pandemic, government action, or failure of third-party systems.
11.3 Our total liability to you in connection with any purchase shall not exceed the total amount you paid for that order (including booking fees).
11.4 Nothing in this policy excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
12. Queries & Complaints
12.1 If you have any questions or complaints about your purchase, please contact us at hello@glasgowtickets.com, quoting your order reference number.
12.2 We aim to acknowledge all queries within 48 hours and resolve complaints within 14 working days. Some queries may require us to contact the Event Partner before responding.
12.3 We do not tolerate abusive, threatening or harassing behaviour towards our staff. We reserve the right to cease correspondence and/or suspend your account in response to such behaviour.
13. General
13.1 We reserve the right to update this Purchase Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. All purchases are subject to the version of this policy in effect at the time of purchase.
13.2 If any provision of this policy is found by a court to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force.
13.3 Our failure to enforce any right under this policy does not constitute a waiver of that right.
13.4 This Purchase Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Both you and we agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
13.5 Nothing in this Purchase Policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
