Privacy Policy

Glasgow Tickets is a ticketing platform built for the people of Glasgow and the promoters who bring our city to life. We believe in transparency — no hidden nonsense, no selling your data to third parties, no shady practices. Here's exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Who We Are
Glasgow Tickets is operated from Glasgow, Scotland. We provide an online ticketing service for events, primarily in and around Glasgow. If you need to get in touch about your data, email us at privacy@glasgowtickets.com.
What We Collect
When you buy tickets
- Name and email address — so we can send you your tickets and order confirmation.
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Order details — what you bought, when, and for which event.
When you create an account
- Name, email, and password — your password is encrypted and we cannot read it.
When you register as a promoter
- Business name, contact details, and branding — displayed on your public promoter page.
- Stripe Connect information — handled directly by Stripe for payouts.
Why We Collect It
- To process your ticket orders and send you confirmations with PDF tickets.
- To let promoters manage their events, view orders, and receive payouts.
- To handle refunds and customer support queries.
- To check you in at events via the QR code on your ticket.
That's it. We don't run targeted advertising. We don't build profiles on you. We don't sell or share your personal data with anyone except the promoter whose event you're attending (so they can run their event and handle check-ins).
Payment Security
All payments are processed through Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified — the highest level of security in the payments industry. Your card details go directly to Stripe's servers and never touch ours.
Data Sharing
We share your data only with:
- The event promoter — your name, email, and ticket details so they can manage their event and check you in.
- Stripe — to process payments securely.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Full stop.
Cookies
We use only essential cookies to keep you logged in and protect against cross-site request forgery. No tracking cookies, no analytics cookies, no advertising pixels.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data — ask us and we'll send you everything we hold.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data (where we don't need to keep it for legal/financial records).
- Object to how we use your data.
To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@glasgowtickets.com. We'll respond within 30 days.
Data Retention
We keep order records for 6 years to comply with UK tax and accounting regulations. Account data is kept until you ask us to delete it. If you delete your account, we'll remove your personal details but retain anonymised order records as required by law.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we'll post the changes here. For significant changes, we'll email registered users.
