Promoter Policy
How we work with event promoters in Glasgow
Built for Glasgow's Grassroots
We're not Ticketmaster. We're not trying to be. Glasgow Tickets exists because we believe local promoters deserve a ticketing platform that's fair, transparent, and actually works for smaller events. No minimum ticket requirements, no hidden fees, no corporate runaround.
Getting Started
- Sign up — Create an account and register as a promoter. It's free.
- Set up your branding — Add your logo, colours, and business name. This appears on your public page and on every ticket you sell.
- Connect Stripe (optional) — Link your Stripe account to receive direct payouts. If you don't have Stripe, we can collect payments and arrange BACS transfers.
- Create events — Add your event details, create ticket types (General Admission, VIP, Early Bird — whatever you need), set prices, and publish.
- Share and sell — Each event gets a public page. Share the link and watch sales come in.
What You Get
- Your own promoter page — A branded public page listing all your events at
glasgowtickets.com/your-name. - Unlimited events — List as many events as you want. No caps.
- Flexible ticket types — Multiple tiers, sections, seat assignments, quantity limits — you're in control.
- Discount codes — Create percentage or fixed-amount codes with usage limits and expiry dates.
- Private ticket links — Sell exclusive or hidden ticket allocations via private URLs.
- Co-promoter revenue splitting — Running an event with someone? Split revenue automatically.
- Real-time order dashboard — See every order as it happens. View customer details, resend confirmation emails, process refunds.
- PDF tickets with QR codes — Professional tickets branded with your logo and colours, each with a unique scannable QR code.
- Staff check-in system — Scan tickets at the door. See who's arrived and who hasn't.
- Guest list — Full guest list for your event, downloadable and sortable.
Payments & Payouts
- Payout timing: Payouts are processed within 48 hours of your event ending, on the next banking day. This ensures all ticket sales are finalised and any refund window has passed before funds are released.
- Stripe Connect: If you connect your own Stripe account, funds go directly to you (minus our platform fee and Stripe's processing fee).
- BACS Transfers: If you don't have Stripe, we collect payments on your behalf and transfer your earnings via bank transfer within the same 48-hour post-event timeframe.
- Free events: No fees. If your event is free, we don't charge anything. Zero.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate event information (date, time, venue, capacity).
- Honour all tickets sold through the platform.
- Handle refund requests promptly and fairly.
- Communicate any event changes or cancellations to your ticket holders.
- Comply with all applicable laws, including licensing and venue regulations.
- Not use the platform for fraudulent or illegal events.
Event Cancellations
If you need to cancel an event:
- Contact us as soon as possible.
- All ticket holders must receive a full refund of the ticket price. Booking fees are non-refundable.
- We'll help you process refunds through the platform.
Our Commitment to You
- Fair pricing — Our fees are transparent and published on our pricing page. No hidden charges, ever.
- Actual support — We're real people in Glasgow. If something goes wrong, you can talk to us. No ticket queues with 3-week response times.
- Your data, your events — We'll never hold your customer data hostage or prevent you from contacting your own customers.
- No lock-in — If you want to leave, you leave. We won't make it difficult.
Account Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend promoter accounts that:
- List fraudulent or illegal events.
- Repeatedly fail to honour sold tickets.
- Receive excessive, unresolved customer complaints.
- Violate these policies or our Terms & Conditions.
We'll always try to resolve issues through conversation first. Suspension is a last resort.
